the ethics of breaking 400 year old Bibles
Do You Destroy Old Bibles?

Maybe you are wondering where our pages come from. Are you horrified at the thought of destroying a 400 year old Bible just so that the pages can be sold singly at a profit?

So are we!

Most handlers of old books feel the same way. We would never destroy a complete Geneva Bible!

Pages like ours come from "breaker books." These are books that have become too damaged over the centuries to retain their value as collectors' items. Instead, the salvageable portions are preserved as fragments - collections of leaves or individual leaves like ours.

So please rest assured: no Bibles were harmed in the creation of these magnificent treasures. Rather, we hope to preserve these irreplaceable fragments of our Christian heritage for generations to come.
